Dr. Sherri L. Becker

Dr. Sherri L. Becker

Dr. Sherri L. Becker is a 1985 honor graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Becker was in private practice in Statesboro, Georgia from 1985-2000, before she and her family moved to Yorktown, Virginia. Since moving to Virginia, Dr. Becker has been associated with the Hampton Roads Eye Associates and Coastal Vision Care. Dr. Becker was President of the Georgia Optometric Association in 1994 and 1995, and the Athletic Department Optometrist for the Georgia Southern University Eagles.

Dr. Becker is the recipient of numerous awards including Optometrist of the Year in Georgia, Young Optometrist of the Year, and many others.

Dr. Becker is highly committed to the highest quality Eye Care Services in Hampton. She is experienced in both routine vision care and in dealing with eye care emergencies and various eye diseases. Dr. Becker has a particular interest in children’s eye care and in fitting contact lenses for hard-to-fit patients. She is knowledgeable in treating red eyes, managing glaucoma, removing foreign bodies, and dealing with other injuries and diseases of the eye.

Dr. Martha Overmeyer

Dr. Martha Overmeyer

Dr. Overmeyer graduated with highest honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in May 2013. Over the past six years, she has practiced optometry in a variety of practice settings, including private practice and a multi-disciplinary clinic. In private practice, she has experience working with children and families to meet their visual needs. As a staff optometrist in a multi-disciplinary clinic, she has experience in geriatric optometry and ocular disease.

Prior to her optometric education, Dr. Overmeyer earned a B.S. in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University. She completed an undergraduate thesis in Kinesiology as a Schreyer Honors Scholar. She also has experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an intern for both Johnson and Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb companies.

Originally from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Dr. Overmeyer currently lives in Poquoson with her husband and three young children. She enjoys running, volleyball, and spending time on the water with her family.
